We’re revolutionizing the way electric drivetrains work

Our electric induction motors feature  an Axial Flux geometry.
Induction motors lack high specific torque output, which makes them unsuitable for use in modern EVs.

However induction motors do not require the use of permanent magnets.

 

By combining two great technologies,  we can offer a drop-in replacement for current permanent magnet machines.

No rare-earth. Full performance.

AXIAL FLUX MOTORS

We rely on axial flux geometry to obtain superior torque density, improve overall system efficiency and obtain a high power density.

This works by having a higher rotor radius compared to conventional radial flux motors.

This bigger radius does not result in a bigger motor due to the different geometry.

TORQUE DENSITY

Torque density is the motor shaft torque divided by motor weight.
Our motor can reach 18 Nm/kg.

A value that high is impossible to reach with a conventional induction motor.

With higher torque gearbox complexity can be reduced and overall system efficiency is improved.

Vehicle performance and power density is maintained without the need for magnets.

0 RARE EARTH

An average EV motor with a high power density contains approximately 2 kg of rare-earth magnets.

Our motor contains literally 0.
We do not just reduce the amount of rare-earth magnets, we do not need them at all.

CO2 impact

Just looking at the rare earth magnets, they account for 80 to 160kg of CO2 emissions in an electric motor.

We are leaning on the conservative side here.
The materials we use to replace rare earths have a CO2 impact of 10kg. 
Much lower, resulting in a 70kg CO2 reduction per motor.
